Dr Jade Le Grice is of Ngāpuhi and Te Rarawa descent, and works as a lecturer in Māori psychology within the School of Psychology at The University of Auckland. Her research draws upon Māori and western methodologies to investigate the cultural and social context that shapes and impacts our lives, and how we can best intervene in that space. Her research interests focus on how we make meaning of gender, sexualisation, reproductive decision making, sexual health, maternity, abortion, and other patterns of human experience. Jade teaches from these knowledge bases, is involved in developing established bicultural initiatives within the School of Psychology, and wider community participation and activism.
